KLM Passage welcomed 1.6% more passengers in the month of January compared to the same month last year.
With a slightly higher transport of 0.3% in passenger kilometres and a higher capacity of seat kilometres of 0.7%, the occupancy rate decreased slightly by 0.3% point. Passenger growth was mainly seen at destinations in Europe and Central and South America.
“The KLM traffic figures for the month of January show a good start to the new year. The upward trend for KLM in 2018 will also continue in 2019. In 2018 we transported more than 34 million passengers on the KLM network. Also for 2019, we will continue our successful strategy of cooperating with partner airlines, the optimal use of our fleet and the improvement of our product on board to give our customers a memorable travel experience,” said Pieter Elbers – President and CEO of KLM
