Last Friday Donald Trump issued an executive order that will deny refugees and immigrants from certain Muslim-majority countries entry into the United States. This “extreme vetting” procedure has now forced KLM to refuse at least 7 passengers wanting to fly to the US.
President Donald Trump has signed an executive order (Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States) restricting the entry of refugees and immigrants into the United States.
Refugees who were in the air towards the US, were stopped and detained at the US airports.
Citizens of Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen are disallowed to travel. In return Iran will refuse all Americans entering Iran.
The executive order will suspend entry of all refugees for 120 days.
Brussels Airlines is very cautious: inadmissible passengers will be sent back to Brussels and the airline risks heavy fines.
