KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-900 in Toulouse on 2 October 2026, marking another step in its long-haul fleet renewal. The aircraft will operate from Amsterdam Schiphol to destinations including Toronto.
The A350 accommodates 331 passengers: 34 in Business Class suites with direct aisle access, 26 in Premium Comfort and 271 in Economy. Its Airspace cabin features larger overhead luggage compartments, ambient lighting and high-speed satellite connectivity.
The new aircraft joins KLM’s existing Airbus fleet of ten A330 Family aircraft and 17 A321neos. According to Airbus, the A350’s Rolls-Royce engines, aerodynamics and lightweight materials provide a 25% reduction in fuel consumption and CO? emissions compared with previous-generation competing aircraft.
