KLM’s October traffic figures mark a positive start to the fourth and final quarter of 2018. The airline welcomed 2.8% more passengers on board and, despite restrictions on capacity growth at Schiphol, it saw load factor rise by 0.9 points to 88.8%.

The driving force behind our good traffic figures have been our routes to North and South America, where we respectively welcomed 8.2% and 9.3% more passengers on board.

October was also a good month for Cargo. With capacity down 4.3%, traffic increased slightly by 0.3%, causing load factor to rise sharply by 3.3 points to 70.7%. An excellent result.

Transavia reported that traffic and capacity growth kept pace with one another, resulting in almost the same load factor as last. Transavia did, however, welcome 1.2% more passengers on board.
