KLM has launched a new Amsterdam–Hyderabad service, marking Hyderabad as the airline’s fourth Indian destination after Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. The inaugural flight arrived on 2 September 2025, celebrated at Hyderabad Airport with cultural performances and a KLM delegation led by COO Maarten Stienen.
Three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Fridays, Sundays) will be operated with a Boeing 777-200ER, offering World Business, Premium Comfort, and Economy Class.
Hyderabad, known as India’s “Pharmaceutical Capital” and a major technology hub, is home to 800+ pharma companies and many global IT firms. With its central location and strong domestic links via IndiGo, Hyderabad is India’s fourth busiest airport and an emerging logistics hub.
Stienen highlighted India’s rapid economic growth and rising travel demand: passenger numbers between Amsterdam and India have nearly doubled in recent years. The new route strengthens ties between the Netherlands, the EU, and India, supporting both business and leisure travel.
