Next month, KLM Cityhopper will receive its first Embraer 175. The regional aircraft is scheduled to arrive at Schiphol from the Embraer factory in Brazil on March 20, as announced today by KLM in Amstelveen.
KLM Cityhopper will receive a total of seventeen E175s, which are particularly intended to replace the Fokker 70 in KLM’s regional subsidiary. On March 25, KLM organizes a special scenic flight with the new acquisition (by invitation only).
The airline has been flying since 2008 with the larger E190 (one hundred seats). The E175 can seat 88 passengers. KLM selected the E175 +, an economical version that can be recognized by strikingly high inclined winglets.
