KLM Cityhopper marks fleet milestone with 25th Embraer 195-E2 delivery

KLM Cityhopper has welcomed its 25th Embraer 195-E2 at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, marking a key step in the airline’s European fleet renewal programme.

The new aircraft, which arrived following successful test flights and final inspections in Brazil, offers 15% lower fuel consumption, 34% less CO? emissions per passenger, and is 63% quieter than the Embraer 190.

With 136 seats, the 195-E2 is KLM Cityhopper’s largest aircraft, featuring more legroom, USB ports, and larger overhead bins to improve passenger comfort.

The regional subsidiary now operates 61 aircraft across 80 European destinations, with the latest Embraer set to enter service by the end of September.

KLM is investing €7 billion in fleet renewal, adding Embraer E2 jets and Airbus A320neo/A321neo for short-haul operations, while expanding its long-haul fleet with Boeing 787s and upcoming Airbus A350s, including A350 freighters.
