A KLM Cityhopper Embraer E195-E2 remains grounded at Göteborg Landvetter Airport after suffering a bird strike during departure from Linköping City Airport, Sweden on the morning of Saturday, July 4.
The aircraft, registered PH-NXL, departed Linköping at around 06:00 local time on its scheduled service to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport with 122 passengers on board. Shortly after takeoff, the crew reported a suspected bird strike and decided to divert to Gothenburg as a precaution.

Magnus Grimhed, CEO of Linköping City Airport, confirmed to Swedish newspaper Corren that the most likely cause of the incident was a bird strike. “I have no information regarding the extent of the incident or the technical condition of the aircraft,” Grimhed said in an email to the newspaper.
At the time of writing, the aircraft remains on the ground at Göteborg , where it is expected to undergo technical inspections before being cleared to return to service. The airline has not yet released details about the extent of any damage or when the aircraft is expected to resume operations.
