• Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance has signed several new maintenance agreements at the 2015 Dubai Air Show
• A competitive offer of component support throughout the world

At the Dubai Air Show 2015 that took place between 8 and 12 November 2015 in Dubai, AIR FRANCE KLM announced the signature of new strategic cooperation agreements by Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), the Group’s maintenance division.

AFI KLM E&M and Etihad Airways sign a maintenance agreement

The national airline of the UAE will entrust AFI KLM E&M with the component maintenance of its Boeing 777 fleet (33 aircraft). Under the agreement, Etihad Airways and its equity partners will have access to AFI KLM E&M’s Boeing 777 global component pool, via the 777 Component Services Program (CSP) jointly implemented with Boeing. Lasting 10 years, this agreement will enter into effect as from February 2016. It represents a new step forward in the partnership announced between the two airlines in October 2012. Etihad Airways and  AIR FRANCE KLM together operate a code-share network of more than 40 destinations, from the hubs in Abu Dhabi, Paris and Amsterdam.

AFI KLM E&M and Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries team up to provide Component support

AFI KLM E&M will provide Component support for Saudia Airlines’ Boeing 777 and 787 fleets, while assisting Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) in the development of its Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) capabilities for future Airbus and Boeing aircraft. At the same time, AFI KLM E&M will use SAEI as a subcontractor for those parts as SAEI already holds existing capabilities.

Comair renews its Component support contract with AFI KLM E&M

The South African airline Comair is renewing the contract it has had with AFI KLM E&M for several years now, relative to the component repair of its Boeing 737 and 737 Next Generation fleet, the provision of a stock of spare parts and access to the AFI KLM E&M pool. AFI KLM E&M’s competitive offer and the guarantee of obtaining a reliable and thorough response convinced Comair to renew its trust in the Group.

These new agreements confirm the service excellence provided by AFI KLM E&M. They also reflect the efforts undertaken by AFI KLM E&M to constantly meet its customers’ requirements as closely as possible, notably in the strategic area of Africa and the Middle East, as shown by the recent inauguration of a new logistics centre in Dubai, offering a pool of parts for all types of aircraft maintenance support on behalf of customer airlines.

Franck Terner, EVP AIR FRANCE KLM Engineering & Maintenance, declared: “In a particularly competitive market, these agreements illustrate AFI KLM E&M’s commitment to improve the quality and competitiveness of its products and services. The trust and confidence of these prestigious customers encourages us to continue this momentum within the framework of Perform 2020.”
