KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is expanding its winter network with the addition of Kittilä, Finland, as a new destination for the 2025–2026 season. Starting 23 November 2025, the airline will operate a weekly Sunday flight between Amsterdam Schiphol and Kittilä, the gateway to Finnish Lapland.
Located in northwestern Lapland, Kittilä offers direct access to popular ski resorts such as Levi and Ylläs, along with a wide range of winter activities including reindeer safaris, husky tours, and cross-country skiing. The route caters to the growing demand for adventurous winter getaways in the region.
The new service complements KLM’s increased frequency to nearby Rovaniemi, which will be served four times weekly, offering more flexibility for travellers heading to the Arctic Circle.
Flights to Kittilä (KL1261) depart Amsterdam at 12:20 and arrive at 16:20 local time, with the return (KL1262) departing at 17:10 and landing in Amsterdam at 19:20. The route will be operated with a Boeing 737-800.
