Air France has released a new documentary, Concorde Air France: They Made the Legend Fly, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Concorde’s first commercial flight on 21 January 1976. Available exclusively on the airline’s YouTube channel, the nearly 40-minute film offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the iconic supersonic aircraft more than two decades after its retirement.

Presented by Air France-KLM CEO Benjamin Smith and filmed at the Air and Space Museum in Le Bourget, the documentary features unprecedented access to Concorde’s cockpit and cabin. It brings together firsthand testimonies from five current Air France employees—a pilot, two flight attendants, a mechanic and a lounge agent—who share personal stories, archival material and insights into the exceptional operational and onboard experience.

The film highlights Concorde’s enduring legacy as a technological masterpiece and a symbol of Franco-British cooperation, reaffirming its lasting influence on Air France’s identity and on the history of global civil aviation.
