On 25 February, an Air France Boeing 777 departed Paris CDG airport destination Taipei. Nothing special but for the crew: 14 crew members of which 9 Belgians.
One Belgian in the spotlight: Viviane Van der Veken, a former Sabena captain and one of the first female pilots. Viviane is reaching the age of retirement and operated one of her very last flights. Some more “Belgitude” on board: in the cockpit (Benoit Jans, Pierre Possof and Thierry Martin) and in the cabin (Angelo Milioto, Pascale Baltus, Eric Paye, Yasmina Jaauani and Stéphane Moerenhout).
Once again this shows that the skills of Sabena employees was recognized abroad, and that many of them quickly started a new career.
