On 16 August, an Air France Airbus A330 (F-GZCB) operated flight AF896 between Paris CDG, France and Brazzaville, Congo Republic. The aircraft stopped climbing at 26,000 feet and returned to Paris after the captain felt unwell. Emergency services awaited the aircraft.
On the same day, an Air France Airbus A321 (F-GTAZ) operated flight AF1000 between Paris CDG and Madrid, Spain. When flying through 32,000 feet, the aircraft faced a technical issue with the pressurization (slow decompression). The aircraft made a quick descent and diverted to Bordeaux airport. A replacement aircraft (Airbus A320 F-HEPE) was flown in from Paris to bring the stranded passengers to Madrid.
