Air France launches new Caribbean route linking Guadeloupe with Panama City

Share

Air France will expand its Caribbean Regional Network with the launch of a new nonstop service between Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, and Panama City, starting 11 December 2026.

The seasonal route will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, until 5 March 2027, using an Airbus A320 configured with 170 seats in Business and Economy Class. Return flights from Panama City will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The new service is designed to strengthen connectivity across the French Caribbean, with flight schedules coordinated to offer convenient connections from Fort-de-France (Martinique) and Cayenne (French Guiana) via Pointe-à-Pitre.

Passengers will also benefit from onward connections through COPA Airlines’ hub at Panama City, providing access to destinations across Central and South America, including Lima, Quito, Guayaquil, Guatemala City, San José, San Salvador, Managua, Tegucigalpa, Havana, Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Port of Spain, Montevideo, Asunción and Georgetown.

The aircraft will be equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, available free of charge to passengers who log into their Flying Blue loyalty programme account.

“The launch of the Pointe-à-Pitre–Panama route reaffirms Air France’s leading role in providing links between the French West Indies, French Guiana and the Americas,” said Lionel Rault, Air France-KLM’s Caribbean General Manager. He added that the new service complements the airline’s recently launched routes to Belém and Fortaleza in Brazil, as well as expanded long-haul services to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

The new route further strengthens Air France’s Caribbean Regional Network, which currently links Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Cayenne, Belém, Fortaleza and Miami using two Airbus A320 aircraft based in Guadeloupe.

According to Alain Bièvre, President of Guadeloupe Pôle Caraïbes Airport, the Panama City route will reinforce the airport’s position as a regional hub while opening new travel opportunities to Latin America and the western United States through COPA Airlines’ extensive network.
