On 5 April 2016, Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance was rewarded for the launch of its MRO Lab, designed to share innovation across its global network and increase airlines’ operational performance.
For the second consecutive year, the specialist magazine Aviation Week chose AFI KLM E&M to receive the award of MRO* of the Year for 2016 in the “Outstanding Airline Maintenance Group” Category. This award was presented at a ceremony held at the MRO Americas 2016 event in Dallas in the United States.
Aviation Week’s MRO of the Year award recognizes the best players in the MRO industry for their value-added accomplishments and innovations. Every year, the magazine asks both its readers and prominent industry figures to select the winners.
In 2015, the Group was voted Best MRO of the Year by Aviation Week for its efficient and comprehensive maintenance programme designed for the latest generation of aircraft such as the A380, A350 and Boeing 787.
Franck Terner, EVP Engineering & Maintenance at Air France-KLM declared: “Receiving this award for the second consecutive year is a real honour. It confirms the continued effort that AFI KLM E&M has made to constantly increase the satisfaction of its customers. I see it as recognition of our teams’ excellent skills and professional attitude, and our constant dedication to improving industry standards and airlines’ operations through innovation.”
AFI KLM E&M was also voted MRO of the Year in 2014, 2015 and 2016 by Airline Economics.
