Air Europa Cargo has extended its cargo handling agreement with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) for another five years, covering operations in Madrid and Barcelona.
The partnership, which began in Madrid in 2018 and expanded to Barcelona in 2021, supports Air Europa’s cargo network across Spain, Europe, and long-haul markets in the Americas. WFS currently manages cargo for up to 350 weekly flights in Madrid and more than 25 weekly departures from Barcelona.
The renewed agreement aims to strengthen operational efficiency, service quality, and the use of advanced technologies in cargo handling. It also aligns with Air Europa Cargo’s broader growth strategy and expanding route network.
WFS operates extensive cargo infrastructure in Spain, including multiple facilities in Madrid and Barcelona, and plans to further expand with a new cargo terminal in Madrid by 2028. The continued collaboration reinforces both companies’ commitment to innovation, efficiency, and long-term development in the air freight sector.
