A Boeing 737-800 aircraft (reg. EC-OBP) operated by Air Europa as flight UX6097 suffered a landing incident on Friday evening at Palma de Mallorca Airport after reportedly losing one of its wheels during touchdown.
The flight, arriving from Madrid, came to a stop tilted on the runway at around 20:20, temporarily preventing normal passenger disembarkation. Emergency procedures were immediately activated.
Airport firefighters, medical teams, and ground personnel responded to the scene to secure the aircraft and assist passengers in evacuating safely. According to initial reports, the passengers included numerous representatives from the Mallorcan tourism sector.
No information on injuries or the cause of the wheel failure has been released yet. Operations at the airport may be temporarily disrupted while the aircraft is removed and the incident is investigated.
