Air China has launched a new direct route between Milan Malpensa Airport and Beijing, specifically to Beijing Daxing International Airport, marking a further expansion of its Italy–China network.
The new service operates daily using Airbus A330-300 aircraft and makes Milan Malpensa the first Italian airport to offer direct connectivity to Beijing Daxing, one of China’s newest major aviation hubs.
With this addition, Air China now operates four routes from Milan Malpensa: Beijing Capital, Chengdu, Shanghai, and Beijing Daxing, reinforcing the airport’s role as a key intercontinental gateway for Northern Italy.
The launch was presented as a milestone in strengthening economic, commercial and tourism ties between Italy and China, with officials from both countries highlighting the strategic importance of expanded air connectivity.
Overall, the new route increases capacity and choice for long-haul passengers and further consolidates Air China’s presence in the Italian market.
