Air Canada has unveiled a major expansion of its Winter 2026–27 schedule, headlined by the launch of the first-ever non-stop flights from North America to Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands. New routes from Toronto and Montréal position the airline as the only carrier offering direct access to the destination from the continent.
The Tenerife service will be operated by the new Airbus A321XLR, featuring lie-flat Business Class seats and a redesigned cabin experience, marking a new generation of onboard product for the airline.
Beyond Tenerife, Air Canada is adding four new destinations: Roatán (Honduras), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic), Mérida and Mazatlán (Mexico). The airline is also significantly expanding its sun network with new non-stop routes from cities across Canada, including Vancouver, Calgary, Montréal, and Halifax, to popular destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America.
The expansion strengthens Air Canada’s position as a leading global carrier from North America while targeting growing demand for winter leisure travel. In parallel, Air Canada Vacations will broaden its offering with additional hotel and cruise packages, giving travellers more bundled holiday options.
