Air Canada is expanding its footprint across Latin America and the Caribbean this winter, announcing a return to Lima, Peru, and launching three new routes to Belize and lesser-known destinations on Mexico’s Pacific coast.
Starting in the 2025–26 winter season, the airline will resume non-stop flights to Lima from both Montreal and Toronto, operating twice weekly from each city. The move comes as part of Air Canada’s “New Frontiers Strategy,” aimed at tapping into the growing demand for warm-weather leisure destinations.
In addition to Lima, the carrier is launching:
The Tepic service is timed to coincide with the completion of a new highway linking the city to Puerto Vallarta, dramatically improving access to one of Mexico’s most scenic coastal regions.
“This expansion reflects strong demand for sun destinations and supports both leisure travel and cargo opportunities,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer at Air Canada. “From Peru’s rich heritage to Mexico’s emerging beach towns, these new routes offer Canadians more compelling choices this winter.”
With these additions, Air Canada will offer over 80,000 weekly seats on more than 55 daily flights to 52 destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean—its largest-ever schedule to the region.
Flights are now available for booking through aircanada.com, contact centres, and travel agents.
