Air Canada and ITA Airways have signed a new codeshare agreement, marking a key milestone in their expanding partnership and paving the way for ITA Airways’ entry into Star Alliance in early 2026. Starting July 21, 2025, passengers can access over 30 one-stop itineraries with smoother connections between Canada, Italy, and beyond.
Under the deal:
The partnership enhances options for both leisure and business travellers, especially for those with ties to Italy. It also complements Air Canada’s 39 weekly flights to Italy and its intermodal partnership with Trenitalia, offering rail connections to 30 Italian destinations.
Both airlines are also working on reciprocal loyalty program benefits as part of deeper integration within the Star Alliance framework.
