Egyptian airline Air Cairo has signed a firm order for 15 Airbus A320neo aircraft at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026. The order marks the airline’s first direct aircraft acquisition from Airbus, complementing its existing leased fleet.
Air Cairo has grown from seven aircraft five years ago to more than 45 aircraft today and plans to operate a fleet of more than 130 aircraft by 2034.
The A320neo aircraft will support the airline’s expansion across its domestic, regional and international networks, while providing improved fuel efficiency and operational flexibility.
Airbus said the agreement underlines Air Cairo’s confidence in the A320neo family as it expands connectivity between Egypt and international destinations.
