Chinese Aviation Authorities give Air Belgium a ‘go-ahead’ for Zhengzhou

Air Belgium today (24 October) received its operating permit by China’s Civil Aviation Authority, the permit is required to start flying between Belgium and , China, with Zhengzhou as first destination. Yesterday, Air Belgium welcomed a delegation led by He Jinping, Vice Governer of Henan Province together with Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company (HNCA), led by Chairman Zhang Mingchao.

On 17 October, Air Belgium signed a strategic partnership with the Chinese company HNCA in the presence of the Prime Ministers of both the People’s Republic of China and the Kingdom of Belgium. The news is a boost for the young Belgian airline after last week’s extraordinary general meeting that discussed the situation of the company.
