Now that Cathay Pacific will launch four flights per week between Hong Kong and Brussels Airport, luchtzak.be asked Air Belgium CEO Niky Terzakis if Air Belgium will change its inaugural destination Hong Kong.
Via Twitter, Terzakis responded that Air Belgium will not change its planning, he added that he is happy that Cathay Pacific discovered Brussels as destination.
An Air Belgium spokesman added: “After so many years passengers will be able to fly directly between Brussels and Hong Kong and back. Very soon they can choose between two airlines! Air Belgium is still working on the launch, we have a very specific, qualitative, competitive and innovative positioning. Our first aircraft will be delivered in the next ten weeks.”
