Air Arabia has launched a new route connecting Sharjah to Sochi, Russia, operating six weekly flights to the Black Sea resort city. The new service strengthens Air Arabia’s growing presence in Russia, bringing the total number of Russian destinations served by the airline to six.
The route marks the latest expansion in Air Arabia’s network, which already includes Moscow, Kazan, Samara, Ufa, and Yekaterinburg. With the addition of Sochi, Air Arabia now connects Russia to the UAE from three hubs: Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah.
“We are glad to inaugurate our non-stop flights to Sochi, further strengthening our connectivity with Russia,” said Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia. “This expansion not only offers affordable travel options but also enhances tourism and trade ties between our countries.”
Alexey Starostin, CEO of Aerod (operator of Sochi Airport), noted that the new service supports Sochi’s development as an international hub: “The UAE ranks among the top destinations served by Sochi Airport. With Sharjah now connected, travellers gain wider access across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa through Air Arabia’s network.”
Flight Schedule (Local Times):
Air Arabia operates a modern Airbus A320 and A321 fleet and offers passengers free in-flight entertainment via ‘SkyTime’, onboard meals through ‘SkyCafe’, and loyalty rewards through its ‘Air Rewards’ program.
