Air Arabia has inaugurated daily non-stop flights between Sharjah and Munich, marking its first direct service to Germany from its Sharjah hub. The new route, launched on 15 December 2025, is operated with the airline’s Airbus A320neo, offering improved comfort and efficiency.
The inaugural flight was celebrated with a welcoming ceremony at Munich Airport, attended by senior representatives from both Air Arabia and the airport. Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali described Munich as a key cultural and economic hub and said the new service strengthens the airline’s European footprint while providing customers with greater choice and convenience.
Munich Airport also welcomed the launch, highlighting the added connectivity between Bavaria and the Gulf region. The Munich route further expands Air Arabia’s growing European network from the UAE, which already includes destinations such as Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow and Warsaw Chopin, with Prague and Warsaw Modlin to follow.
Air Arabia operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and offers passengers onboard streaming via SkyTime, paid catering through SkyCafe, and its Air Rewards loyalty programme.
