Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the capital’s first low-cost carrier, has officially launched non-stop flights between Abu Dhabi and Damascus, marking its latest expansion in the region and reinforcing its commitment to affordable connectivity.
The inaugural flight was welcomed at Damascus International Airport with a traditional water cannon salute and a ceremony attended by representatives from Air Arabia, the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority, and airport officials.
Starting 28 October 2025, the route operates three times a week — on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays — departing Abu Dhabi at 09:20 and arriving in Damascus at 11:50, with the return flight leaving Damascus at 12:50 and reaching Abu Dhabi at 16:45 (local times).
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, said:
“This new service between Abu Dhabi and Damascus complements our existing route from Sharjah and highlights Syria’s importance to Air Arabia’s growing network. It reflects our commitment to providing travellers with affordable, convenient connections that support trade and tourism across the region.”
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft offers passengers a comfortable travel experience with SkyTime in-flight entertainment, SkyCafe onboard dining, and the Air Rewards loyalty programme.
Tickets for the new route are now available via Air Arabia’s website, call centre, and travel agencies.
