Guadeloupe-based Air Antilles has halted all commercial and flight operations after the French civil aviation authority (DGAC) temporarily suspended the airline’s operating license. The decision, taken unilaterally by the DGAC according to the carrier, has forced an immediate stop to all flights “until further notice”.
In a message to passengers published on its official website, the regional airline wrote: “Les autorisations d’exploitation de la compagnie Air Antilles sont temporairement suspendues… En conséquence, nos opérations commerciales et aériennes sont à l’arrêt.” The airline added that all teams are mobilised to assist affected travellers and urged passengers to monitor their emails and phone calls for updates.
The DGAC grounding follows an audit requiring additional documentary and organisational checks within the company. The entire fleet is impacted, pending the reinstatement of the Air Operator Certificate (CTA).
This new setback revives concerns about the stability of Air Antilles, which was already placed into judicial liquidation in 2023 before restarting operations under new management. No timeline has been provided for the resumption of flights.
