Aeromexico plans to launch direct flights between Mexico City International Airport and Milan Malpensa in March 2027, subject to government approval.
The new long-haul service will be operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Aeromexico recently added its 25th Dreamliner, supporting the continued expansion of its international network.
Milan will become the airline’s second destination in Italy after Rome Fiumicino, making Aeromexico the only Mexican carrier to connect Mexico City directly with two Italian cities. If approved, the addition will expand its European network to seven destinations served across ten routes.
Aeromexico said the service would strengthen cultural, commercial and business links between Mexico and Italy while meeting growing demand from both business and leisure travellers.
The route remains subject to regulatory validation. Flight frequencies and schedules will be announced once the necessary approvals have been obtained.
