Aeroméxico transported 2.157 million passengers in July 2026, with international demand continuing to perform well despite a slight year-on-year decline in overall traffic.
The Mexican flag carrier reported a 1.5% reduction in capacity, measured in available seat miles (ASMs), compared with July 2025, while revenue passenger miles (RPMs) declined by 1.9%. As a result, the airline recorded a load factor of 88.0%, down just 0.4 percentage points from the same month last year.
Chief Executive Officer Andrés Conesa said the results were in line with the airline’s expectations and highlighted the continued strength of international travel.
“International demand continued to demonstrate resilience, delivering solid performance across our network,” he said.
Conesa added that domestic demand strengthened significantly towards the end of July after a temporary slowdown linked to the FIFA World Cup, helping improve the airline’s overall performance during the month.
Looking ahead, Aeroméxico said current booking trends remain encouraging, reinforcing its confidence for the remainder of 2026. The airline plans to continue optimising its network and capacity deployment to match demand while maintaining a strong focus on profitability.
