SAS Scandinavian Airlines and Aerolíneas Argentinas have announced a new codeshare agreement aimed at improving connectivity between Scandinavia and Argentina via their shared membership in the SkyTeam alliance.
Under the agreement, Aerolíneas Argentinas will place its AR code on SAS-operated flights connecting Madrid and Rome with Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo. In return, SAS will place its SK code on Aerolíneas Argentinas’ long-haul services between Buenos Aires, Madrid, and Rome, enabling smoother one-stop journeys between Northern Europe and South America.
The partnership significantly expands itinerary options, including integrated multi-stop routes across both networks, and improves connectivity between regions that previously required more complex transfers. Both airlines emphasise the goal of offering seamless single-ticket travel with through-checked baggage and simplified transfers.
The agreement also strengthens frequent flyer integration, allowing members of EuroBonus and Aerolíneas Plus to earn and redeem points across the combined network, alongside SkyPriority benefits for eligible passengers.
Implementation is expected in the third quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
