At Moscow Sheremetyevo airport, a man was hit by an Aeroflot Boeing 737-800, about to take off


On 20 November, an Aeroflot Boeing 737-800 aircraft (VP-BCG), scheduled from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo to Athens Airport as SU2112 was taxiing onto the Sheremeyevo runway but ran down a man, who died instantly. Anna Zakharenkova, an airport spokesperson told Russian press agency TASS. 

The aircraft – bound for Athens – was taxiing onto the runway when the crew reported a collision with an unidentified object, the incident occurred at 20:10 (UTC +3). Airport services rushed to the runway and discovered a human body, with clothes and personal belongings scattered around,” Zakharenkova added.

Meanwhile the man has been identified and police has been informed about the incident.
