IndiGo and AEGEAN have signed a memorandum of understanding for a codeshare partnership that will expand connectivity between India, Greece, South Asia, and Europe.
Starting January 2026, IndiGo will launch six weekly flights to Athens using its first Airbus A321XLR, marking the airline’s inaugural route with the new aircraft type. AEGEAN will follow in March 2026 with five weekly flights to Delhi and later three weekly flights to Mumbai, establishing the first direct services between Greece and India.
Under the agreement, AEGEAN’s “A3” code will be added to a wide range of IndiGo flights across India and South Asia, while IndiGo’s “6E” code will appear on AEGEAN’s domestic and European routes via Athens. Passengers will benefit from integrated itineraries, through check-in, and greater access to destinations including Greece’s islands and regional European cities.
The partnership underscores growing demand for travel between India and Greece, with both airlines highlighting its potential to strengthen cultural, tourism, and business ties between the two countries.
