AEGEAN Airlines, via its subsidiary Olympic Air, has added a new ATR 72-600 to its fleet and placed a direct order for two additional aircraft to be delivered in December 2026. The move strengthens AEGEAN’s regional fleet renewal and sustainability strategy.
Olympic Air currently operates 15 ATRs (12 ATR 72-600s and three ATR 42-600s) serving domestic and short regional routes across Greece.
Deputy CEO Michalis Kouveliotis said the additions will enhance connectivity, efficiency, and environmental performance, while ATR CEO Nathalie Tarnaud Laude praised AEGEAN’s role in maintaining vital air links for island communities, highlighting the ATR 72-600’s fuel efficiency and reliability.
The expansion reflects AEGEAN’s long-term commitment to modern, sustainable regional aviation in Greece.
