Regional aircraft lessor TrueNoord has placed its first-ever direct order with a manufacturer, signing a firm agreement with Embraer for 20 new E195-E2 aircraft, valued at USD 1.8 billion at list prices. The deal also includes purchase rights for up to 30 additional aircraft — 20 more E195-E2s and 10 E175-E1s.
CEO Anne-Bart Tieleman called the agreement a “landmark moment” for the company:
“It marks an important stepping stone in our continued growth as a global leasing platform, underlining our commitment to next-generation, fuel-efficient regional jets.”
Embraer’s CEO Arjan Meijer hailed the deal as “a strong endorsement of the E2 family’s capabilities,” noting that the aircraft’s superior performance and efficiency make it ideal for lessors and operators seeking sustainable fleet growth.
The E195-E2, the largest member of Embraer’s E-Jet family, is marketed for its 25% lower fuel burn and reduced noise footprint compared to previous-generation models — aligning with TrueNoord’s strategy to expand its portfolio with environmentally efficient aircraft.
