Boeing and Macquarie AirFinance have announced an order for 30 additional 737-8 aircraft, booked in July as unidentified on Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries log. The deal brings the lessor’s 737 MAX portfolio to 70 jets, strengthening its position in the single-aisle market.
Macquarie AirFinance, which manages a fleet of over 300 aircraft leased to 84 airlines in 48 countries, said the order supports its growth strategy and reflects strong customer demand for fuel-efficient aircraft. Boeing highlighted that lessors now account for nearly 25% of all 737 MAX orders, as global airlines seek cost savings and lower emissions.
