China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) has signed a firm order with Airbus for 30 additional A320neo Family aircraft, reinforcing strong market demand for the fuel-efficient single-aisle jets among its global airline customers.
Announced in Toulouse on 30 December 2025, the deal marks CALC’s fifth order with Airbus and brings its total Airbus backlog to 282 aircraft, including 203 from the A320neo Family. The order underscores CALC’s continued growth strategy and focus on modern, environmentally efficient fleets.
CALC Chief Executive Officer Mike Poon said the latest purchase reflects the lessor’s long-standing partnership with Airbus and a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability, enabling CALC to offer high-value aircraft solutions to airlines worldwide.
Airbus welcomed the repeat order, noting CALC’s first purchase dates back to 2012. Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus Executive Vice President of Sales for Commercial Aircraft, said the order highlights the A320neo Family’s strong market appeal and CALC’s understanding of airline requirements.
The A320neo Family, which includes the long-range A321neo, has secured more than 19,000 orders globally and delivers at least 20% fuel and CO? savings compared with previous-generation aircraft. Airbus aircraft are currently certified to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel, with a target of 100% SAF capability by 2030.
