BOC Aviation has signed a sale-and-leaseback agreement with Qatar Airways covering three Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, further strengthening its long-standing relationship with the Gulf carrier.
The three widebody aircraft have already been delivered to Qatar Airways and will be operated under long-term leases. All are powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines.
BOC Aviation said the transaction marks the first time it has financed Airbus A350-1000 aircraft for Qatar Airways. The lessor added that it had strengthened its liquidity position earlier this year to support high-quality investments such as this transaction.
The agreement further expands BOC Aviation’s portfolio of next-generation long-haul aircraft while reinforcing its position as a key financing partner for one of the world’s leading international airlines.
