BOC Aviation reported a strong operational performance in 2025, taking delivery of 51 new aircraft and reinforcing its position among the world’s top five aircraft lessors. The company executed one of its largest-ever transaction volumes, adding 160 aircraft purchase commitments during the year and ending 2025 with an orderbook of 337 aircraft.
The lessor’s total portfolio comprised 815 aircraft and engines owned, managed or on order. Its owned fleet of 451 aircraft maintained an average age of 5.0 years and an average remaining lease term of 7.8 years, while utilisation remained at 100% throughout the year.
As part of active portfolio management, BOC Aviation sold 35 owned aircraft and one managed aircraft in 2025. In total, the company completed 333 transactions during the year, including 74 lease commitments and 66 transactions in the fourth quarter alone.
BOC Aviation also raised more than US$4 billion in funding in 2025 and ended the year with a diversified customer base of 87 airlines across 46 countries and regions. CEO Steven Townend said the delivery of new, technologically advanced aircraft and disciplined portfolio management underpin the company’s confidence in meeting its future growth objectives.
