Aircraft lessor Azorra has placed a firm order for 15 additional Embraer E195-E2 jets and secured purchase rights for a further 15 aircraft, strengthening its commitment to the Brazilian manufacturer’s latest-generation regional jet family.
The deal increases Azorra’s firm E2 orderbook from 39 to 54 aircraft and represents the third expansion of the lessor’s original order placed in 2021.
The agreement also marks a significant milestone for Embraer, with total orders for the E2 family now exceeding 500 aircraft. The manufacturer said more than 200 E2 jets are currently in service with 24 airline operators worldwide.
Azorra said continued demand from airlines for smaller, fuel-efficient narrowbody aircraft had driven the latest order. The lessor has been one of the programme’s earliest supporters and has played a key role in placing E2 aircraft with airlines in multiple regions.
For Embraer, the order provides further evidence of growing market acceptance for the E2 family as airlines seek to improve efficiency while matching capacity more closely to demand.
The E195-E2, the largest member of the E2 family, is designed to offer lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions and operating costs compared with previous-generation aircraft. It features a two-by-two cabin layout, eliminating middle seats for passengers.
The order will be included in Embraer’s second-quarter 2026 backlog and financial results.
