AerCap has signed lease agreements with Uzbekistan-based My Freighter for two new Airbus A321neo aircraft, marking the lessor’s first commercial partnership in the country. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2027.
My Freighter, primarily a cargo airline, also operates passenger flights under the brand Centrum Air. The new A321neos are expected to support both arms of the business as the company expands its international footprint.
Peter Anderson, Chief Commercial Officer at AerCap, said the agreement reinforces Tashkent’s development as an emerging East–West aviation hub. He highlighted the A321neo’s fuel efficiency and range as key advantages for My Freighter and Centrum Air as they target new markets.
Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Chairman and CEO of Centrum Holding, said the aircraft will bolster operational capabilities and underpin upcoming European route launches. He added that the A321neo will enhance passenger comfort and strengthen Uzbekistan’s global connectivity.
The deal underscores growing aviation ambitions in Uzbekistan, as local carriers accelerate fleet modernisation and international network expansion.
