Aircraft lessor Abelo has confirmed three additional ATR 72-600 turboprop options, strengthening its commitment to regional aviation and deepening its partnership with manufacturer ATR.
Following this latest exercise, Abelo’s total firm orders rise to 36 aircraft, with a further nine options and purchase rights still available. Deliveries of the newly confirmed aircraft are scheduled from 2027.
The lessor has seen strong momentum in placing its aircraft, with around one-third of its firm commitments already delivered or allocated to airline customers. Abelo continues to expand its global footprint, working with carriers such as SKY Express, Aegean, SATENA, and more recently Ethiopian Airlines.
The ATR 72-600 remains a key asset in Abelo’s strategy, offering fuel-efficient and lower-emission solutions tailored to regional connectivity needs. The additional aircraft will support airlines seeking cost-effective and sustainable operations, particularly in underserved and developing markets.
