Eurocontrol, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, has issued a Rapid Alert Notification to warn airlines to exercise caution in Eastern Mediterranean due to possible launch of air strikes into Syria in next 72 hours.
“Due to the possible launch of air strikes into Syria with air-to-ground and / or cruise missiles within the next 72 hours, and the possibility of intermittent disruption of radio navigation equipment, due consideration needs to be taken when planning flight operations in the Eastern Mediterranean / Nicosia FIR area,” the NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) said.
On Monday (9 April) United States President Trump condemned the heinous attack on innocent Syrians with banned chemical weapons and threatened to use all efforts available to hold those who use chemical weapons, in Syria and otherwise, accountable.
