Stampe Fly In is an annual event organized by the Museum Stampe and Vertongen and was created to commemorate Belgium’s most famous aircraft, the Stampe SV4.
Stampe Fly In is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the historic site of the airport and with the life work of our aviation pioneers.
Visitors will be immersed during the weekend of 12 and 13 May in the wonderful world of biplanes and other related aircraft. There will also be some warbirds like the Spitfire, Hawker Fury, Trojan and Harvard. The Red Devils, the display team of the Belgian Air Force, will hold formation flights on Saturday and Sunday with the legendary Fouga Magister and on Sunday an F16 from the base in Florennes will do an overflight.
There will also be a static F16 on the airport site where visitors will be able to take a seat. The Flying Circus team from the Netherlands will provide animation during the day with slapstick acts and narratives from the aviation world, a fascinating experience for both children and adults.
For visitors who would like to experience a flight with an SV4 or other aircraft, RAAC (Royal Antwerp Aviation Club) organises air baptisms.
Entry for this event is 5 euros, children under 12 years old can enter for free. More information at www.stampe.be
