This year, Belgian formation team “The Victors” celebrates its 15th anniversary. On Saturday 29 June, you can meet them at Ursel Airfield, which is also their home base. On that day, the team will give an extensive demonstration.
The formation team is unique, as it’s the only civilian formation team in Belgium, flying with 4 Piper PA-28 Cherokee (Cadet and Warrior III) aircraft.
On 28 March 2004 – 15 years ago, Emmanuel ‘Manu’ De Craene, Luc De Smet and Frankie Deck were flying near Ursel. They contacted each other via radio to join up and to fly together for a while. On that day, “The Victors” emerged and the rest is history …
