On 19 February, two Team Surya Kiran Hawk Mk127s (A3671 and A3679) crashed during a rehearsal exercise one day before the Aero India 2019, an airshow that is organized every two years. The crash occurred at 11:46 local time at Yelahanka Air Force Station.
Scramble Magazine reports that two pilots managed to eject but that the fate of one other pilot is still unknown. The crash happened just after the two Hawks passed parallel to the crowd line in the mirror position, which is the final maneuver before ending the display.
