GetJet Airlines has signed a long-term ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) agreement with Eurowings, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, following a competitive selection process.
Under the agreement, six GetJet aircraft will be deployed from Hamburg Airport starting in March 2026. The aircraft will support Eurowings’ peak summer schedule, adding capacity and strengthening intra-European connectivity across the Lufthansa Group network.
The ACMI deployment will allow Eurowings to flexibly scale operations during the high-demand season while maintaining operational continuity. Hamburg will serve as the operational base for the six aircraft, reinforcing the airport’s role within the carrier’s German network.
GetJet Airlines currently operates a fleet of 17 aircraft, comprising Boeing 737-800s and Airbus A320/A321 family jets. The Lithuanian carrier has positioned itself as a stable ACMI provider, emphasising operational reliability, measured growth and in-house technical capabilities.
CEO Inga Duglas highlighted that the partnership reflects the airline’s long-term strategy of sustainable expansion rather than rapid scaling, particularly in a European ACMI market that has experienced volatility in recent years.
The agreement further consolidates GetJet’s footprint within Western Europe and strengthens Lufthansa Group’s access to flexible wet-lease capacity ahead of the 2026 summer season.
