An Antonov AN-26-100 turboprop aircraft registered ER-AVB and flying for cargo charter company Valan Air has crashed into the sea off Ivory Coast just before landing at Abidjan Airport (not after take-off, as initially reported).
Four people have died in the accident, six others were taken to hospitals with injuries. Six occupants were Moldovans, 4 were French. All French are amongst the survivors.
The aircraft, coming from Ouagadougou, was transporting material for the French Army on behalf of the United Nations.
