In just six months, the first E-Jet E2 will be delivered to the first customer. In April 2018, an E190-E2 will be handed over to Widerøe of Norway. The airline will start flying its new 114-seat, single class E-Jet in revenue service the same month.

From the outset, Embraer had planned to start delivering E2s in the first half of 2018. The April date is right on target. The E2 development team attributes the on-time delivery to the mature engineering processes that evolved from the first generation of E-Jets.

The E-Jets E2 program continues on time, on spec, and on budget.

Widerøe has three firm orders for the E190-E2 and purchase rights for 12 more E2s. The airline will deploy its E2s on some of the 46 domestic and international cities in its network.
