Re: 2018 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news

In this article*, something new is mentioned
"On entend la rumeur que Fedex pourrait déménager toutes ses installations de Cologne à Liège"
"we heard the gossip that Fedex may move all operations from CGN to LGG"

It's the first time I hear that. Anybody would have more info ?
Other than the wishfull thinking of some ?
it's been mentioned many times that LGG is saturated, won't be fixed that easily

Chinese tour operator U-Tour is planning new flights between China and Liege, now via IrAero, an airline based in Irkutsk. While last year VIM Airlines operated to Wuhan, Xian, Shenyang, Changsha, Taiyuan, Zhengzhou, Qingdao and Fuzhou.

IrAero will now operate to Chengdu, Fuzhou, Taiyuan, Wuhan, Nanchang, Jinan, Zhengzhou and Guiyang. The additional stop in Russia is required due to traffic rights.

IrAero to add 3 former VIM Airlines B777 in her fleet.
To start flights to LGG ?

Let's hope that IrAero will be more reliable than I-Fly and VIM 😁

National Airlines and Navitrans USA said they were set to launch a weekly round-the-world service using a 747-400F, operating Chicago-Liege-Baku-Hong Kong-Narita-Anchorage-Chicago.

The service starts on 1 June and will operate year-round.
Did this finally happen?

Hello André ex Sabena #26567,

Thanks a lot. I am not really a newcomer, though. I had to create a new ID because I could not login using my old one! :D .

Have fun, any way,
